If you\u2019re planning a Disney World vacation, you might be excited to learn that there is a new member of the complimentary transportation system<\/a>: the Walt Disney World Skyliner. You can think of it as another highway in the sky, a cousin to Walt\u2019s original monorail<\/a>, only this time, the parks feeling the special love are EPCOT and Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Ride the Disney Skyliner<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Riding the Disney Skyliner is easy, and best of all, free. Simply walk up to a station located at either park or one of the resorts and wait your turn to board. Soon, a colorful gondola will arrive to whisk you off to your destination. Some are even wrapped with popular character images to welcome you aboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re worried about getting on the gondola, don\u2019t be. It\u2019s far easier than getting on a chairlift at a ski resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As each gondola arrives at the station, it will slow or sometimes even stop, making it easy for you to step on board. Doorway openings are wide, providing ample room to move, so there is no feeling of pressure as you enter the gondola space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside, you\u2019ll find two benches on either side, providing room for up to ten people to sit. Keep in mind that if your party doesn\u2019t fill the space, you might be sharing your journey with other guests. Look at it as an opportunity to make new friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Hours Does the Skyliner Run at Disney?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to official Disney World sources<\/a>, the Disney Skyliner hours begin an hour prior to Early Theme Park Entry<\/a> at EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. The Skyliner will cease operation 90 minutes after park closing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On nights that EPCOT park offers Extended Evening Hours to guests of deluxe resorts, the Skyliner will run until one hour after the close of extended hours. However, there are a few things to keep in mind regarding the Skyliner and Extended Evening Theme Park hours:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
